What is Molluscum contagiosum?
This condition is generally a harmless viral infection which means it is passed on by skin to skin contact. The virus can take a while to clear up on it’s own and the main symptom is raised red spots on the skin, they are not painful however, they can be itchy and can spread around the skin.
Molluscum Contagiosum can spread through:
- Close direct skin to skin contact
- Touching contaminated objects
- Sexual contact
